Job Summary Avenir Energy is looking for a 310T Apprentice Truck Technician to join our growing team.

This role is responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and related equipment.

You’ll play a key part in keeping our fleet safe, efficient, and fully operational while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

If you're a registered apprentice or licensed technician who takes pride in quality work and solving mechanical problems, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues using standard testing procedures and diagnostic equipment.

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections in accordance with company and manufacturer specifications.

Conduct comprehensive repairs on gas and diesel engines, as well as truck systems and components.

Complete emergency roadside repairs when required.

Examine and adjust safety-related components including guards, bolts, and protective systems.

Submit accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Avenir’s Health and Safety Policy.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Stay current through ongoing technical training and review of factory service bulletins.

Tag and retain parts when applicable under warranty guidelines.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills Registered Apprentice (310T), preferably in the first or second year.

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and best practices related to heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair.

Experience with computer-based diagnostic tools and systems.

Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

High attention to safety and efficiency in all work practices.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; AZ or DZ license is an asset.

SAP experience is an asset.
