Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Forklift Operator to join our client's team in Sommerville, New Brunswick. As a vital part of our industrial management and logistics operations, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. The ideal candidate is a team player who is meticulous, reliable, and committed to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. This is a full-time, temporary position with the potential for long-term opportunities.

Position: Forklift Operator
Location: Somerville, NB
Pay: $20/hr
Shift: 2AM to 10AM, Mon-Fri

Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring all items are handled with care to prevent damage.
Organize and maintain the warehouse space, optimizing storage for maximum efficiency.
Conduct daily pre-operational inspections on the forklift and report any maintenance needs or issues to management.
Assist with general labour tasks as needed to support overall warehouse operations.
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against delivery slips and log any discrepancies.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including company policies and industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of inventory and activity logs, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and meet daily operational targets.

Qualifications
A valid and current forklift license.
One to two years of sit-down forklift experience.
Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Ability to provide an up-to-date resume highlighting relevant forklift experience.
Must be able to wear and provide your own steel-toed safety boots.
Available to start as soon as possible.
