REPORTS TO : Parks and Facilities Supervisor LOCATION : Syl Apps Community Centre / Cainsville Community Centre / Wilkin Community Centre Minimum Qualifications : Secondary school education or equivalent Good knowledge of synthetic turf and equipment maintenance, Good knowledge of facility operations, maintenance practices and procedures Good communication, and interpersonal skills General repair experience related to mechanics, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
Good safe work practices Current First Aid, CPR, AED training (or willing to obtain) Valid Class G driver’s license and acceptable driver’s abstract Acceptable Police Records Check Assets : Any of the following.
Working from Heights, Smart Serve, Sports field maintenance certificate.
Facilities Operations Duties : Involved in the operation and maintenance of the facilities.
Provide direct support to facility users.
Opening and closing facilities for events.
Setting up recreation facilities for events and take-downs.
Park maintenance, grass cutting and trimming.
Building maintenance where required.
Reviews assignments and event schedules for maintenance and use of facilities Assist with ensuring facilities are ready for use and machinery and equipment are functioning properly.
Ensure that facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and attractive condition.
Ensure patrons and users abide with the Respect and Responsibility policy and facility rules.
Assists in ensuring that Occupational Health and Safety practices, policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
Ensures that fire prevention practices and regulations are adhered to.
Documenting maintenance duties, rentals, daily routines, emergency services, health, and safety practices.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
