JomboneBotwood, Newfoundland and LabradorThe Role : As a Registered Nurse in the Med-Surg, Emergency Room (ER), and Long-Term Care (LTC) units, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients across a variety of healthcare settings. Your role will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for individuals with diverse medical needs, acute conditions, and chronic illnesses within both critical and long-term care environments.
Responsibilities :
Conduct thorough assessments to prioritize patient needs, ensuring timely interventions in both acute and long-term care settings.
Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed, following strict safety protocols and documenting care activities accurately.
Monitor and record vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic information, ensuring precise and up-to-date patient records.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient-centered care plans across Med-Surg, ER, and LTC settings.
Educate and support patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning to ensure a safe transition across care settings.
Uphold infection control standards and safety practices to maintain a secure environment for patients and healthcare staff.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent.
Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable province.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably across Med-Surg, ER, and / or LTC settings.
BLS,ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and CTAS Certifications.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to adapt to fast-paced and varied clinical environments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
Proficient critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to manage complex patient cases effectively.
