Job descriptionBasic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a labourer in remote settings. Level 1 First Aid Certification (or equivalent 2-day course) - required. PAL license for wildlife monitoring - preferred. Valid Driver's License. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Office 365). Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Positive attitude with a genuine desire to support team success. Previous experience in a remote camp setting. Familiarity with diesel generators, off-road vehicles, and chainsaws. Trades experience is an asset. Versatile handyman skills with a willingness to adapt to various tasks. Work in a stunning natural environments. Contribute to meaningful projects in the mining and construction industry. Enjoy a supportive team atmosphere with opportunities for professional growth.

Tamatta Mining & Construction is recruiting for one of our esteemed clients seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals for the role of Maintenance Assistant at a remote fly-in camp in the breathtaking region of Nunavut. This is a unique opportunity to work in an extraordinary environment while contributing to important projects in the mining and construction industry. Join us and be part of a team that values hard work, safety, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform maintenance duties including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical tasks.
- Assist in the upkeep and repair of camp facilities and equipment.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to solve problems and improve operations.
- Participate in safety briefings and adhere to all safety protocols.
