The Team
At the Ministry and Children and family Development (MCFD) you’ll join a supportive and experienced team of clinicians who bring diverse skills and collaborate closely to provide the best care for children and youth. Our team of five includes four generalists, a part-time Integrated Practice Clinician, and a team leader. You’ll also work with school staff, primary care providers, and other community partners as part of an Integrated Child and Youth Care Team. We value ongoing learning and consultation, with a focus on inclusive, culturally responsive care. Together, we’re making a real impact in the lives of families in our community.
The Role
As a Children and Youth Mental Health Clinician you’ll provide intake, assessment, and evidence-based treatment for children and youth facing moderate to severe mental health challenges. You’ll collaborate with caregivers and other care providers to create tailored treatment plans, supporting families to reduce symptoms of mental illness and providing a positive impact on the entire community. Qualifications :
Education and Experience Requirements
- Masters in Counselling, Social Work, Educational Counselling, Clinical Counselling, Clinical Psychology or Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at the Master’s level in a similar subject may be considered.
NOTE : If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services ( ICES ). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.

If hired, a successful applicant would be under-implemented at the Social Program Officer 21 classification with an employee development plan in place until the qualifications for Social Program Officer (CYMH) 24 are fully met.
