Registered Nurse - Ross Tilley Burn Centre - Regular Full-time

Summary of Duties :

Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Registered Nurse in the Ross Tilley Burn Centre collaborates with the healthcare team, patients, and families. The main responsibilities include assessment, intervention, education, and patient advocacy for burn patients. The RN supports Patient-Centred Care principles and adheres to the standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario and Sunnybrook's mission and values.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current BCLS certification
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred
• CNCC(C) certification an asset
• Critical care certification or recent 2 years of Adult Critical Care experience required
• Strong interest in wound care
• Commitment to continuing education
• Participation in nursing councils, committees, quality improvement, or research initiatives
• Effective interpersonal, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to apply critical thinking in patient care
• Ability to work positively under stress
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent attendance record
