The role combines traffic coordination, weight verification, and administrative record-keeping to support uninterrupted plant operations. By managing the weigh scale process and related documentation, the position safeguards compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in shipping activities.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Ensure safe and efficient flow of truck traffic within the plant by coordinating movements via radio / phone, minimizing delays and safety risks.
  • Achieve accurate load tracking by weighing trucks in / out and maintaining precise digital records in spreadsheets.
  • Contribute to overall plant productivity by handling administrative duties that keep daily shipping operations running smoothly.
  • Produce reliable shipping and weight reports, enabling managers to make informed operational decisions.
  • Maintain error‑free data entry and documentation, strengthening compliance and record‑keeping standards.
  • Support operational efficiency by providing real‑time communication with bulkloaders to reduce bottlenecks and improve loading turnaround.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education and work experience :

  • High School degree
  • 1 to 3 years of related work experience
  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Attention to detail – ensuring accuracy in data entry, weight recording, and reports.
  • Communication skills – clear, professional interaction via radio, phone, and in person.
  • Multitasking – managing traffic coordination, weighing, and data entry simultaneously.
  • Organizational skills – keeping records, spreadsheets, and reports orderly and up to date.
  • Problem‑solving – handling unexpected issues with truck traffic, scale operations, or documentation.
  • Reliability & dependability – consistently showing up on time and maintaining accuracy in repetitive tasks.
  • Teamwork & collaboration – working closely with drivers, bulkloaders, and plant staff.
  • Capable of working with SAP (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)) software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
  • WHAT WE OFFER

  • A generous Pension Plan designed to support you through various stages of your career and life.
  • Access to voluntary programs like RRSP and TFSA for future financial planning.
  • Healthy Living support through an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), offering confidential assistance for work, health, or life challenges.
  • Easy access to mental health and well‑being support.
  • Service recognition awards to celebrate your contributions.
  • Perks & discounts on a variety of products and services.
  • Access to online learning platforms, financial educational assistance, and a culture that fosters career growth and opportunities.
  • Financial support for new parents beyond statutory benefits.
  • An inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone can be themselves.
  • A collaborative work culture in a supportive and team‑oriented work environment.
