Job description :

We are looking for a superintendent in industrial mechanical to join a dynamic and passionate team within a general contractor based in Quebec. This multidisciplinary company, specializing in construction and engineering, has extensive experience with large-scale projects. It offers comprehensive services, ranging from project management to execution of works.

Responsibilities :

Plan, organize, and supervise construction work with foremen and subcontractors
Read and understand plans and specifications to define work methods
Create and manage the project schedule with the General Superintendent and Project Manager
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on the site
Prepare for and participate in project meetings
Plan, prepare, and purchase necessary tools and materials
Monitor productivity, document issues, and prepare daily reports
Ensure the quality of materials and work, prepare and monitor the budget, and analyze the costs of changes

Skills and qualifications :

Degree in Industrial Mechanics or equivalent

3 years of experience in a similar role

Knowledge of financial management

Computer skills, including proficiency with Office Suite

Knowledge of welding (a plus), heavy machinery, cement plants, and foundries (major assets)
