Key Responsibilities :
Welding & Fabrication :
Perform MIG, TIG, and / or Stick welding on a variety of metals including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
Reading Technical Drawings :
Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate components accurately.
Cutting & Shaping Materials :
Use tools such as plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches, grinders, and saws to cut and shape metal parts.
Assembly of Fabricated Parts :
Assemble fabricated components into final products or sub-assemblies, ensuring correct alignment and fit.
Quality Assurance :
Inspect welds and finished products for accuracy, strength, and compliance with quality standards.
Workshop & Site Work :
Carry out fabrication and welding tasks both in the workshop and on-site as required.
Tool & Equipment Maintenance :
Maintain welding and fabrication tools and equipment in good working order.
Health & Safety Compliance :
Follow all health and safety procedures, including the use of PPE and safe working practices.
Collaboration :
Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to meet project deadlines and specifications.
What We’re Looking For :
Have a broad knowledge within a sub-contact engineering environment with experience in the Water and Quarrying industries being advantageous.
Able to work well in a team environment with excellent communication skills.
Good problem-solving skills are essential.
Operate at all times within current Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality regulations. (ISO 45001 / 14001 / 9001).
