Your role
We are looking for a dynamic Reporter to file live and taped reports for our Winnipeg newsroom. In this role you will pitch research write and present news stories for broadcast on local and national programs. The successful candidate will report for all editorial platforms as needed.
Please note : t he work schedule may include weekend shifts and s uperior Frenchlanguage skills are required.
We are looking for a candidate with the following :
University degree or equivalent
Three (3) years directly related experience including proven ability in the field and knowledge of the broadcasting industry
Excellent reporting and interviewing skills
Ease with live reporting
Bilingualism (English and French) required
Knowledge of Manitoba affairs and FrancoManitoban community issues
Knowledge of CBC / RadioCanada journalistic and programming policies
Ability to work flexible hours and on weekends as needed
Ability to work with a variety of teams
Criticalthinking abilities
Proven ability to work in a highstress tightdeadline environment
Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
Understanding of the public broadcasters role and responsibilities
Valid drivers licence as well as a driving record that meets the criteria of CBC / RadioCanadas insurer
