Job Description :
Astro Hill Rentals is seeking a dedicated and reliable Part-Time Groundskeeper to join our team in Iqaluit, NU. As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and safety of our property. This role requires a hardworking individual who can manage a variety of tasks related to grounds maintenance and general labor.
Key Responsibilities :
- Grounds Maintenance : Maintain and enhance the appearance of the grounds, including lawn care, gardening, weeding, trimming, and planting.
- Snow Removal : Perform snow removal tasks during winter months to ensure safe and accessible pathways and driveways.
- Annual Sea-Lift Assistance : Help with the logistics and physical tasks associated with the annual sea-lift, including receiving and organizing supplies.
- General Laborer Duties : Assist with various laborer tasks as needed, including minor repairs, painting, and maintenance projects.
- Safety Compliance : Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance : Maintain and care for all grounds keeping equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Previous experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects and operating grounds keeping equipment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of property care.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
