Discipline Lead - Solid Waste Management Engineer

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Discipline Lead for our Solid Waste Management Team to assume a leadership position in this role for our Environment Practice. This role will primarily be based in Toronto but could be considered to be based at any of our locations within Ontario.
Your role within the team :
- In this role you will be responsible for growing and managing our Canada-wide solid waste team, comprising technical and professional staff at all levels of development.
- You will utilize your strong waste engineering, compliance, planning and / or sustainability experience and provide leadership to the team serving our internal, private industry and government clients with solid waste projects across Canada.
- You will be accountable for the successful delivery of our current solid waste projects, as well as growing our project pipeline.
- Growing the group revenue from existing client relationships, developing new business and / or expanding lines of business.
- Track leads and maintain client relationships to win new work.
- Developing and expanding the team of technical and professional staff delivering solid waste projects.
- Acting as a direct interface between clients and the AtkinsRéalis project teams and / or regulatory bodies, as appropriate.
- Senior level project management (including technical program development, management of personnel and resources, tracking costs and managing budgets, implementing quality assurance reviews, and ensuring client objectives are met).
- Identifying project quality / project profitability risks and liabilities and developing strategies to minimize them.
