Baycrest is located in Toronto, Ontario and is home to the newly created Austin Centre for Neurology and Behavioural Support. It is fully-affiliated with the University of Toronto and plays a unique and important role in training and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows who will have the responsibility of caring for the increasing number of individuals with dementia and related cognitive and behavioural disorders. Baycrest operates over 1,000 beds across a full continuum of senior health and residential care programs with 2,000 staff and 2,000 volunteers. The continuum includes the newly established Austin Centre for Neurology and Behavioural Support which encompasses the Sam and Ida Ross Memory Clinic, Virtual Behavioural Medicine Program, Baycrest Movement Disorders and Spasticity Clinics, Geriatric General Neurology Clinic, and Multiple Sclerosis Clinic.
