Overview

SEW is looking for a talented and hard-working Director of Sales to further accelerate our growth.   • The successful AVP of Sales will enjoy a great sense of autonomy. To be successful, you must organize and balance your activities appropriately (prospecting, selling, and account management) to create results.

Responsibilities :

  • The successful AVP of Sales will own their geographic territory.
  • They will generate new accounts, new business opportunities and grow sales within existing client accounts.
  • This candidate needs to be energetic, outgoing, proactive, creative and have attention to detail with outstanding selling and networking skills.
  • Input and maintain all prospect and client activity in Salesforce.
  • Champion change to remain aligned with SEW's vision and goals as well as the industry, market, and client needs.
  • Contribute to the engagement, growth, development, and positive experience of others within SEW.
  • Partner with SEW Sales Leadership to define the optimal performance measurements and management priorities to increase sales performance.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of SEW's solutions and tailor presentations to meet the needs of different types of businesses.
  • You will be upselling and cross-selling to existing clients and securing contract renewals.
  • Lead qualification, developing assigned accounts, sound account planning, understanding client's business & objectives, educating clients on our portfolio of solutions, identifying ways we can assist clients in meeting their business needs, prioritizing activities, and closing revenue opportunities.
  • Education and Experience Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred
  • 7-10 years of business development experience, selling to Fortune 500 software companies or city utilities and municipalities
  • 4 years' sales management experience in a business-to-business environment
  • Strong foundation for strategic and tactical enterprise solution selling.
  • Highly evolved presentation and negotiation skills
  • Motivated to advance growth in an entrepreneurial, rapidly growing company environment.
  • Proven track record of prospecting and cultivating new business.
  • Must have previously worked with utility companies or sold to utilities
