Job Description

Vanguard School is looking for a speech-language pathologist for a full-time replacement (5 days a week) at the English Elementary school for the 2024-2025 school year.

Tasks

  • You will work within a team of 10 speech-language pathologists;
  • You contribute to the screening and recognition of students in difficulty, with a view to prevention and intervention;
  • You participate with the multidisciplinary team in the development and revision of the student's intervention plan by integrating the speech-language treatment and intervention plan;
  • You collaborate with other team members in the consultation and coordination of interventions, and in the evaluation of the achievement of objectives;
  • You work with students or of a group of students with specific issues in order to facilitate their learning and social integration;
  • You advise and support the teacher and explain the nature of the student's communication difficulties so that he or she can adapt his or her teaching and the teaching materials used.

Required profile

  • Hold a master's degree in speech therapy
  • Be a member of the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec;
  • Ease of working within a multidisciplinary team;
  • Proficiency in French, spoken and written
  • Good knowledge of English, spoken and written
  • Computer skills in learning tools
  • Salary offered
