Truss designer Jobs in Vaughan, ON

We are seeking a  Industrial Designer  to help design innovative, high-end furniture solutions for luxury hotels and upscale restaurants. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing furniture pieces that blend beautiful aesthetics with functional excellence, aligning with brand vision and hospitality industry standards. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, product development, and marketing, to bring designs from concept to production while ensuring top-quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop original and creative furniture designs tailored for luxury hospitality environments.
• Conduct market research and analyze trends to stay ahead of industry developments.
• Create detailed sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings using design software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, or SketchUp.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, durability, and cost efficiency.
• Select and propose materials, finishes, and upholstery that balance sustainability, functionality, and luxury aesthetics.
• Work alongside project managers to ensure designs meet client specifications, budgets, and deadlines.
• Develop prototypes and oversee testing to evaluate design feasibility, structural integrity, and ergonomics.
• Prepare mood boards, presentations, and pitches to showcase designs internally and to clients.
• Ensure compliance with commercial furniture safety standards and ergonomic guidelines.
• Participate in client meetings to understand project requirements and refine design solutions.
