About the Opportunity

Cash Flow Forecasting & Variance Analysis :

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and periodic cash flow forecasts.

Analyze actual vs forecasted cash flows, identifying discrepancies and providing recommendations for improvement.

Banking Activity Review & Journal Entry Preparation :

Review banking transactions related to merchant processor deposits and associated fees.

Prepare journal entry batches for merchant deposits and fees, ensuring accurate posting to the appropriate accounts.

Bank Reconciliations :

Perform regular bank reconciliations for each period to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are promptly addressed.

Merchant Clearing Account Management :

Oversee merchant clearing accounts, ensuring that expected deposits from store POS systems align with actual bank deposits.

Investigate discrepancies between expected and actual deposits and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.

Merchant Portal Maintenance :

Maintain and manage merchant portals, ensuring access is available and up-to-date for all merchant accounts.

Merchant Fee Analysis & Accruals :

Conduct detailed analysis of merchant fees, including rental equipment and transaction costs.

Accurately calculate and accrue merchant fees at period-end to ensure correct financial reporting.

Merchant Processor Issue Resolution :

Act as the primary point of contact for merchant processors to resolve issues related to account access, equipment (e.g., pin pads), and discrepancies in deposits or fees.

Proactively address and resolve issues to ensure smooth operations for all stores.

Other Ad hoc projects like assisting with reconciliation of expected cash collected by store per POS system and actual cash deposited in bank

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in treasury, financial analysis, or accounting, with a focus on cash flow management, merchant accounts, and reconciliations.

Strong understanding of banking activity and merchant processing systems.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in journal entry preparation and bank reconciliations.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, advanced functions).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with various teams and external partners.

Salary Range

64,000 / year
