Position Summary
Responsible for all core processes related to North America treasury operationsPerforms day-to-day treasury activities to meet financial obligations of the North American companies : including those related to cash flow forecasts, borrowings and currency requirements, cash and forecast reporting requirementsAllocates and manages cash balances locally and within local banking structures, as well as managing daily cash-on hand needs within Pernod Ricard parametersKey liaison with HQ Treasury team, located in Paris, for routine and daily mattersCommunicating short-term forecasts and daily cash needsResponsible for maintaining compliance with Pernod Ricard treasury guidelinesKnowledgeable of treasury best practices and internal controls over treasury operationsEnsure policies and procedures meet the organization’s objectives and needsMaintains bank documentation and responsible for account maintenance, including administration and security for banking applicationsKey liaison for local banking relationships – trouble shooting issues and assessing new business needsResponsible for developing short-term cash forecasts within a complex account structure for North American entities, working with larger accounting team to gather input and improve accuracyReconciling forecasts to actuals on a daily or weekly basis and trouble-shooting gapsKey Responsibilities
OHSA - Ensure compliance of Occupational Health & Safety Act (section 25, 26, 27, and 28) per Hiram Walker & Son’s Ltd Policy- Management-Supervision-Worker Safety Responsibilities.Daily banking transactions including prior day reporting, payment releases (manual wires, tax payments, electronic file transfers) and regular bank deposits.Responsible for the daily cash disbursement issue resolution with our banking partners.Develops reports and maintains templates within our banking applications.Leads banking related change initiatives (new bank accounts or services), working with bank, Finance and IT to develop test plans and documentationPrepares and monitors daily cash flow forecasts for all entities.Prepares bank confirmations for all bank accounts for annual audit and other audit support.Responsible for updating bank documentation (signature cards, banking resolutions, service documentation) for all bank accounts to ensure that deletions and additions are handled in a timely manner.Responsible for monthly liquidity and forecast reporting for all entities.Completes month end treasury close process for Canadian entities.Support GL team with transactional data, reports and ad-hoc requests as neededRequired Skills & Abilities
Technical savvy - ability to understand and clearly articulate business processes to IT personnel in order to resolve system issuesGood working knowledge of the integration of business transactions within the ERP systemStrong knowledge of accounting procedures and controls related to cash and treasury best practicesStrong leadership, influencing, communication and prioritization skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office software and JDE Enterprise One. High degree of initiative, achievement drive, change orientation, team commitment.5-6 years’ experience in a Finance environmentMust be able to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and challenge the status quo.Must be able to deliver high quality results to a strict timetable, organized and awareness of deadlines.
