Job descriptionUniversity degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field. Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is a strong asset. Project management or certification (PMP) is a strong asset. 5 years of experience in a financial role. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger and internal controls. Proven experience in ERP projects, including system configuration and data migration. Demonstrated business analysis and process skills to enable continuous improvement and ensure internal controls. Exceptional computer skills, including financial management systems and Google and Microsoft products. Ability to work in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills.

Join HPEDSB – The Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board – as a temporary Financial ERP Analyst in Business Services.
Location : Belleville, Ontario
Annual Salary : 106,223 – 113,003 CAD
Hours : 35 hours per week
Duration : October 1, 2025 – August 31, 2026
Job Overview
Reporting to the Superintendent of Business Services, you will participate in the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Your responsibilities include ensuring that business processes are optimized within the new ERP system, that system configuration meets business requirements, and that data mapping and validation to the new system is complete. You will also assist in creating training materials, lead knowledge transfer to staff, provide post‑migration support, identify gaps and develop solutions, and support special projects or initiatives that increase efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and optimize business processes; understand the current financial accounting process supported by the existing system; identify opportunities for improvement within ERP.
- Participate in mapping financial data from the current financial system to the new ERP.
- Ensure ERP configuration meets business requirements, collaborating with IT teams and the vendor.
- Lead the creation of training materials and knowledge transfer to staff for the ERP implementation.
- Identify gaps and develop solutions to address weaknesses in financial processes, then propose and implement solutions to improve overall project efficiency.
