Whether you are a licensed Portfolio Manager, an emerging Associate Portfolio Manager, or a relationship focused Wealth Manager committed towards becoming registered as an APM then PM, we welcome exceptional candidates who are passionate about serving high-net- worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients.

The scope of discretionary authority and portfolio management responsibility varies by licensing level and registration with provincial securities regulators, but ownership of client relationships and business development expectations apply across all roles.

Candidates must be mobile and able to travel locally as required. The job location is in Sudbury but travel to surrounding areas include but not limited to; Sault Ste Marie, Timmins, Elliott Lake, and New Liskeard.

Candidates will be assessed for the role that best aligns with their experience, licensing, and career trajectory.

  • Develop and execute client‑acquisition strategies aligned with market opportunities and business objectives.
  • Maintain a disciplined and well‑documented prospect pipeline to support sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate assets, deepen client relationships, and increase share of wallet across the client lifecycle.

Client Relationship Management & Advice

  • Gain an intimate understanding of clients’ goals, circumstances, values, and evolving wealth needs.
  • Deliver holistic wealth advice that integrates investments, planning, tax, insurance, and banking solutions.
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, and opportunities to enhance client outcomes and experience.
  • Act as the central relationship owner and trusted advisor for clients.
  • Represent SJF internally and externally with professionalism, credibility, and a strong growth mindset.

Risk, Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Ensure complete, accurate, and up to date KYC/IPQ documentation.
  • Maintain ongoing suitability of strategies and recommendations as client circumstances evolve.
  • Operate with strict adherence with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and conduct standards.
  • Uphold SJF’s values of integrity, professionalism, and client first decision making.

Team & Culture

  • Collaborate closely with the CRIA team who supports APM and PM development and other Total Wealth partners to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to a high-performance, inclusive, and growth oriented team culture.
  • Share knowledge, support team initiatives, and participate actively in meetings and development activities.
