Job descriptionHigh School Diploma required; post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain is an asset Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or transportation preferred Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory); conversational French is required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including data management and reporting tools like pivot tables) and Microsoft Word
My client is seeking a Logistics and Transportation Specialist to coordinate the administrative aspects of inbound and outbound trucking. This role is not a manual warehouse position but focuses on logistics operations. While basic knowledge of customs is preferred, the most important qualification is a strong willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to arrange shipments
- Tender loads to carriers and coordinate schedules for pickups and deliveries
- Gather shipping details from vendors and suppliers
- Prepare customs documentation
- Generate daily reports and track shipments
- Follow up to ensure outbound deliveries are completed efficiently
