Range : $22.51 to $24.08
Location : Clubhouse, Vancouver, BC
Schedule : Casual hours
Primary Role :
The Transport Driver is responsible for operating a motor vehicle for the purpose of transporting supplies and materials. They perform routine inspections and maintenance duties on the vehicles as required, and ensure transport of supplies, materials and maintain the safety of storage sites.
Reporting :
This role reports to the Coordinator of the TEP program and the Program Manager.
Job Duties :
- Transports a variety of supplies and materials to various locations by operating motor vehicles such as cars, trucks, and vans.
- Loads and unloads items such as materials, supplies, Performs routine inspection and maintenance duties on vehicles and equipment such as securing load, cleaning interior and exterior of vehicle, fueling vehicle, checking belts, lights, and tires, and maintaining fluid levels. Recommends vehicle and equipment repairs as required.
- Completes and maintains related records and documentation such as log books and statistics.
- Performs administrative support duties such as answering telephones, arranging times for picking up and delivering supplies and materials, and altering schedules.
- Maintains up to date inventory of supplies required by the Employment Unit Program and TEP placements, program, orders and delivers supplies to the program sites.
- Drops off supplies required for the TEP placements
- Performs safety site inspections
- Ensures TEP sites and storage are in an organized orderly manner
- Alerts TEP Employment Counsellors of any safety concerns with TE program participants or safety concerns on the sites
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
