Job description
Community Connection –Volunteer Driver
Bridgeway Family Homes is an exceptional and caring community providing specialized family-based, child-focused foster care.
Our Transportation Service was established to provide support and assistance to families/caregivers in their efforts to transport children, youth, and adults to access visits, respite, school, and medical appointments.
We strive to have a group of professional Volunteer Drivers who are equipped, skilled, dependable, and reliable. As a Volunteer Driver, you will be providing a valuable and important service where communication is critical to the success of the Transportation Service.
Requirements for this role:
  • Current Broad Record Check (obtained from local Police).
  • Current Child Welfare Record Check (obtained from local Children’s Aid Society).
  • Driver’s Abstract showing Class “G” Driver’s License.
  • Vehicle with $2 million liability insurance.
  • Vehicle insured and in good working condition.
  • Willing to complete local and non-local drives.
  • Internet access with a personal email address/computer.
  • Cell phone.

Infant/child car seats are provided.
Kilometer reimbursement for distance traveled from when you leave your home, complete the drive and return home at $0.45 per km.
Volunteers play a vital role in providing services to our community.
