About the Role :
Reporting to the Fixed Operations Manager, the PartsManager is responsible for overseeing the operations and management within theParts Department to maximize profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Schedule : Full-Time
Compensation : $80,000-$130,000 / yr (Dependent onexperience and proven track record

- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience as aParts Manager role for an OEM Auto Dealership
- Experience as a Parts Manager within a Domesticmanufacturer preferred
- Strong leadership characteristics, with a strongemphasis on the ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability tomultitask
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to effectively respond to and meet theneeds of a diverse client base
- Ability to work efficiently and effectivelyunder pressure with simultaneous deadlines
- Create sales goals and objectives for thedepartment, which includes a marketing plan to promote new and repeat business
- Provide training and real-time coaching to PartsAdvisors and Parts support staff on administering policies, procedures andsales strategies
- Ensure Parts Advisors are kept up to date onmanufacturer campaigns, bulletins and outstanding recalls
- Ensure Parts Advisors maintain theirmanufacturer training guidelines
- Organize routine departmental meetings toincrease training and development in an effort to grow the department
- Remain abreast on departmental sales metrics andprovide communication, training and development to attain target metrics
- Keep up to date on manufacturer warranty andpolicy procedures while serving as a liaison with factory representatives
- Maintain and control parts inventory and performperiodic parts inventory audits
- Perform annual inventory count.
- Perform parts returns of aged inventory
- Maintain the highest Customer Service Indexrating from customers by handling all customer discrepancies immediately andaccording to dealership policy
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage byexamining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates on thecost of parts
- Maintain customer rapport by explainingestimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer’s approval ofestimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answeringquestions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with TrotmanAuto Group’s Core Values in all interactions with clients, colleagues andvendors
