Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions for the future? If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next‑gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.
Our next chapter is in Mississauga.
In 2026, we will be transitioning our operations to Mississauga, with the team fully based there by January 2027. This is an on‑site role and offers the opportunity to be part of that transition, with work taking place across both locations during 2026 based on business needs.
Flexibility during this period provides early exposure, strong visibility, and a chance to help shape how we operate in our new location.
This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting and tax compliance, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory requirements. As a key member of the Canada leadership team, the Manager of Accounting will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the organization.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and analysis of variances.
- Direct the preparation and filing of all tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other regulatory filings, ensuring timely submission and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and oversight to accounting staff, including training, performance management, and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to support strategic initiatives and process improvements.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards, tax laws and regulations, and assess the impact on the organization, providing recommendations and implementing necessary changes.
- Lead and support external audits, examinations, and reviews by regulatory agencies, auditors, and tax authorities.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure smooth communication and resolution of issues.
