Role Description
Genie Aerospace is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to drive the technological strategy and innovation agenda in alignment with our mission to build advanced aerospace superconducting engines and air frames through cutting-edge research and development. The CTO will lead R&D initiatives, spearhead technology advancements, and cultivate a culture of innovation to maintain Genie Aerospace’s position as a leader in sustainable and advanced aerospace technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and execute a forward-looking R&D strategy that aligns with Genie Aerospace’s vision.
- Identify emerging aerospace technologies and trends to shape strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology investments with company goals.
- Innovation and Research :
- Oversee the development of innovative technologies in propulsion, materials, avionics, and sustainability.
- Foster partnerships with universities, research institutions, and industry leaders.
- Guide the development of prototype designs and experimental technologies.
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing R&D projects from concept to testing.
- Drive advancements in hybrid-electric propulsion, AI integration, and autonomous systems.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace regulations and standards in all R&D efforts.
- Build, mentor, and retain a world-class technology team, emphasizing collaboration and creativity.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and technical excellence.
