About The Role
The Technical Innovation Specialist reports directly to the Technical Innovation Manager and supports R&D projects including formulation, product development, process development and stability studies. The role collaborates with the Technical Innovation Project Manager to establish timelines and ensure they are met, and coordinates with Operations and Quality departments to align projects with company goals. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated with a strong understanding of product formulations.

Duties
- Assist in new product development of vapes, infused flower, concentrates, edibles and beverages, including product formulations, sensory trials, BOM creation and required documentation.
- Support project timelines and work efficiently to ensure timelines are met.
- Perform experiments and data analysis, document observations and calculations, and summarize findings.
- Collect potency results and report trends and inefficiencies.
- Assist with installation, qualification, commissioning, and operation of R&D equipment.
- Support trials of new and replacement raw materials and assist in the material qualification process.
- Collaborate on industrial trials to ensure production line feasibility for new product launches, material substitution, or alternative supplier selection.
- Study and conduct trials for shelf life of new products.
- Create and collaborate on SOPs, batch records and other technical documents.
- Contribute to a positive team environment promoting hard work, curiosity, innovation and execution.
- Adhere to all company policies and SOPs.
