Job descriptionGreet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions. Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly. Maintain knowledge of products to effectively sell and provide product demos. Assisting with retail sales and shop upkeep. Outfitting customers with correct ski or snowboard equipment, sets bindings and explaining safe usage. Managing equipment rentals, maintaining the fleet through cleaning & basic repairs, handling customer forms. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales / rental shop is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ski / Snowboard knowledge, understanding of skiing and snowboarding industry preferred.
- Attention to detail is needed when equipment fitting, setting bindings and completing paperwork accurately.
- Experience with merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility.
- Ability to perform product demonstrations to engage customers effectively.
- This team member must be reliable, punctual and motivated.
- The physical demands of this job can include standing, walking and kneeling for long periods of time with some occasional heavy lifting.
