Job descriptionReview and prepare tax provisions and income allocations for investment funds including trusts and limited partnerships Review and prepare trust income tax returns and partnership financial returns using tax software Liaise with investment fund managers and audit firms during the audit and review process Advise clients and internal parties on all tax related matters Assist and participate in special projects and other duties as necessary Lead in the development and mentorship of junior tax staff Participate fully as a member of the Canadian and U.S. teams and contribute to a positive work environment Stay current on changes to tax legislation and other tax compliance requirements for investment funds Undergraduate accounting, finance or equivalent degree Must have a professional accounting designation A minimum of 5 years of Canadian tax experience, in the financial services and asset management industry High proficiency with Excel and experience working with tax software Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently, under pressure, and with attention to detail to meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills
