Location: Position is remote

Description of Role:

*Must have Minimum 5 years brokerage experience.

*CCS Designation is required

The Quality Analyst plays a key role in ensuring that our operations teams meet both regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks. Their work is crucial for minimizing errors, ensuring smooth operations, and preventing costly penalties.

  • Review and confirm entries prior to being sent to CBSA’s CARM system for accounting purposes
  • Work with staff and branch managers on training sessions
  • Follow up with clients as required to ensure description and HS accuracy
  • Database maintenance including updating special instructions and classifications
  • Vet documents to ensure compliance with CBSA and all other regulatory agencies. Examples Include CUSMA certificates, licenses, certificates, and other import documents.
  • Stay current with upcoming regulatory changes impacting the Willson International client base.
  • Advise staff on the classification, valuation and import requirements of merchandise. Complete and accurate tariff opinions including duty rate and SIMA scope checks are routine.

Knowledge and Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma is required. College Diploma an asset
  • Must have minimum five (5) years Customs Brokerage experience
  • Strong working knowledge of ITMR, ECM systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, word, Outlook
  • CCS Designation is required, CTCS preferred
