Office Manager at Escape Fire Protection Ltd
Company Overview
Escape Fire Protection Ltd. has been a trusted leader in fire sprinkler contracting since 2004, delivering high-quality installations, inspections, and design services across BC. With over 100 team members, we are committed to training, career growth, and building a strong, supportive team environment where people can succeed long-term.
We are looking for a motivated, organized, and people-focused HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist to help strengthen our team, culture, and brand. This role goes far beyond paperwork; you will help shape how we recruit top talent, support our people, and represent Escape Fire at industry events, trade shows, and online. If you’re proactive, creative, and excited to grow your HR career within a company that values internal advancement, this is where you belong.
Please note this is an in‑office role at our location in Abbotsford, B.C.
We’re not just offering a job; we’re building careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruiting cycle for field and office roles, including postings, sourcing, outreach, resume screening, and interviews.
- Build and maintain a strong recruitment pipeline through Indeed, social media, trade schools, and industry connections.
- Coordinate reference checks, offers, and onboarding to ensure new hires feel welcomed, prepared, and connected to company culture.
- Maintain accurate employee files, certifications, tickets, benefits information, and HR documentation.
- Track training and ticket expiry dates; coordinate renewals and learning opportunities.
- Assist with performance documentation, attendance issues, and general employee relations support.
- Contribute to internal communications, including newsletters, updates, and social media content that highlights Escape’s culture and attracts top talent.
- Help plan and support company events, training days, meetings, and employee recognition initiatives.
- Support the JHSC with scheduling, agendas, minutes, and safety documentation.
- Represent Escape Fire at trade shows, career fairs, and industry outreach events.
- Collaborate with the Office Manager on HR projects, SOP improvements, and initiatives that strengthen HR systems and organization.
This role offers a clear path into an HR Generalist or Talent Acquisition Lead position. You’ll gain experience across recruitment, onboarding, training, safety documentation, internal communication, and employee relations, all while contributing directly to the long-term success of a growing industry leader.
Escape invests heavily in training and internal advancement. If you bring initiative, we’ll give you the platform to grow.
