We are recruiting an experienced Chef Manager to lead and execute meal service for a business dining operation in Dartmouth, N.S. The operation has a staff of two assistants and serves breakfast and lunch options in a cafeteria setting with 50 seats to approximately 110 internal patrons daily. This is a Monday‑Friday DAY shift. You’ll take a hands‑on approach in focusing on team development, culinary expertise, safety protocol, and client relations. Our Chef Manager will also play a key role in helping us meet budget requirements and execute company‑delivered programs.

Job Responsibilities
- Train and manage operations staff and supervise / coordinate all related culinary activities
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes for consistent quality
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- Ensure proper equipment operation / maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and / or demonstrate culinary techniques
