The Global Supply Chain Senior Director oversees and optimizes all supply chain functions for the various entities of the group. They will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative purchasing strategies, managing relationships with key suppliers, and optimizing costs while maintaining the quality and reliability of the supply chain. They are a key advisor to the senior management team on all purchasing matters. They establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help ensure the strategic procurement of all necessary goods.
DESCRIPTION OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop and implement long-term purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives;
- Manage a team of buyers and procurement specialists;
- Negotiate complex contracts with strategic suppliers;
- Analyze market trends and anticipate fluctuations in raw material prices;
- Optimize purchasing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs;
- Collaborate with other departments to align purchasing strategies with company needs;
- Establish and monitor performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate purchasing effectiveness;
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and current regulations;
- Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans;
- Meet with suppliers and key stakeholders; international travel will be required (10%).
