Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers to the “Hassle Free Guarantee” standards.
- Be alert to the unauthorized removal of merchandise and alert the supervisor of any occurrence.
- To provide a neat, clean, orderly and well merchandised sales floor area at all times.
- To operate and maintain equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- To assist in general stock duties, including receiving, displaying and pricing of merchandise as directed by the Agro Manager.
- To be familiar with and adhere to Southland Co-op policies and procedures and also the guidelines for the Agro Centre.
- To deliver product as directed by the manager in a professional and efficient manner.
- Process customer transactions on the point of sales system.
- Ensure customers are handled in a prompt, friendly and efficient manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1. Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
2. Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, outgoing and energetic personality.
3. Excellent customer service skills.
4. Ability to solve problems.
5. Physically able to do heavy lifting, climbing and kneeling.
6. Willingness to further knowledge through training.
7. A desire and ability to work with the public.
8. Understanding of till operation would be preferred.
9. Must provide a drivers abstract.
10. Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as per Southland policy.
