Are you an experienced Total Rewards professional with a passion for shaping and maintaining equitable programs within a dynamic organization? We have an outstanding opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead the daily operations of Total Rewards and HRIS services for a diverse workforce. In this role, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and serve as the go-to resource for job evaluation, salary administration, and compensation inquiries, enabling your organization to build a “world of possibility” every day.
This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards & HRIS. As a member of the Total Rewards team, you will contribute to the effective design, analysis, and implementation of programs that support employee compensation, benefits, HRIS, and workforce analytics. Your efforts will have a direct impact on operational efficiency, employee satisfaction, and policy alignment.
Total Rewards (General)
Act as a trusted Subject Matter Expert (SME) in advising, analyzing, and implementing total rewards programs.
Lead and support ad-hoc, complex projects related to Total Rewards, delivering recommendations to management and stakeholders.
Review, update, and interpret policies related to total rewards and HR systems to ensure compliance, equity, and operational efficiency.
Identify business process improvements and innovations to drive operational excellence in Total Rewards services.
Provide robust data analysis, cost-benefit insights, and expert recommendations to guide management’s decision-making process.
Compensation
Lead full-cycle administration of annual salary increases for employees, including market analysis, eligibility determination, data validation, calculation, and communication of guidelines.
Conduct market compensation analyses by evaluating survey data, identifying gaps, making recommendations, and implementing approved structural adjustments.
Maintain salary grid structures and ensure alignment with internal Talent Acquisition and Engagement teams.
Conduct job evaluations, identify cost impacts related to salary structure adjustments, and resolve compensation-related issues or discrepancies as they arise.
Continuously review and align job evaluation documentation, forms, and processes with the organization's objectives.
Benefits
Collaborate with external benefits consultants during annual insurance renewals to forecast expenses, analyze utilization trends, and explore cost-containment options.
Provide insights to maintain competitive benefits offerings aligned with market trends and evolving legislative requirements.
Contribute to strategic decisions around health, dental, group life, long-term / short-term disability renewals, and plan changes.
HRIS & Reporting
Support HR reporting by identifying key data requirements, analyzing trends, and summarizing insights to aid in effective decision-making and strategic planning.
Develop and deliver reports related to Total Rewards metrics, including cost projections, compensation trends, and workforce analytics.
Act as a backup for ensuring data quality and auditing HR systems to maintain the accuracy of information.
Collaborate with internal teams on HRIS system maintenance, testing, and implementation.
Leverage data analytics to create visualizations and presentations for corporate-level reporting.
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
Direct experience in job evaluation, market analysis, and compensation administration is required.
Prior experience in a Total Rewards, compensation & benefits, or HRIS-focused role at a senior or specialist level is preferred.
Certifications such as CHRP / CHRL or CCP are considered valuable assets.
Working knowledge of project management principles, including scoping and workload estimation, is an asset.
Experience developing and interpreting statistical and analytical reports preferred.
Comprehensive understanding of compensation, benefits, and HR technologies with advanced proficiency in Excel and database applications.
Knowledge of Meditech (or similar HRIS platforms) is an asset.
Proficiency with statistical methodologies, including descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and significance testing.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with the aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation design and facilitation.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Collaborative and consultative approach to working with diverse teams and organizational levels.
