CA$26.38 / hr - CA$35.22 / hr

Details of the Position

  • School / Centre / Department : Richmond Regional High School
  • Location : Richmond, Quebec
  • Workload : 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 : 00am to 4 : 00pm
  • Hourly Rate : CA$26.38 to CA$35.22 per hour
  • Supervisor : School Principal

Nature of the Work

Under the supervision of the School Principal, the employee performs various technical tasks related to the management of human resources, development, and implementation of standards and activities related to administrative operations. As part of duties, the employee may assist professionals and senior staff.

Description of Tasks

  • Adapt and apply procedures required for the organization of administrative operations : student registration, declaration of student enrolment, exams, preparation of report cards, and certification of studies.
  • Prepare school timetables while taking into account pertinent factors such as course options, student course selection, fields of teaching, basic school regulation, available rooms, rules for the formation of groups, teaching periods, and other constraints.
  • Submit the timetables to the administration and make necessary modifications.
  • Collect data required for student registration and course selection; devise and adapt a form for that purpose; ensure forms are returned once completed, make approved corrections, and compile statistics required for preparing a timetable.
  • Using appropriate software, carry out analyses, extractions, and specific operations as well as prepare reports aimed at monitoring or complying with procedures for matters such as management of student enrolment, preparation of report cards, certification of studies, financing, accounting, budget, oversize classes, student permanent codes, student absences, substitution, school transportation, failures, and various lists or reports to be forwarded to the Ministère. Update student records.
  • Provide training and support in matters pertaining to school organization procedures and use of various software to involved staff.
  • Respond to information requests from fellow staff, administration, or parents.
  • Other Tasks Related To The Classification

  • Develop and adapt work methods and procedures and oversee their application in the context of current activities.
  • Work with others on analysis of files and participate in developing standards and oversee their application.
  • Apply or adapt management techniques to the delivery of specific administrative activities and current operations.
  • Prepare reports intended for concerned organizations and ensure their distribution.
  • Use a computer and necessary software to perform duties; conduct research on the Internet and possibly assist a staff member with software specific to their work.
  • Train less experienced technicians and coordinate support staff in performing duties related to the implementation of programs involving technical operations for which the employee is responsible.
  • Perform any other related duty as needed.
  • Desired Profile – Schooling

  • Hold a diploma of college studies in Techniques de l'administration générale (Business Administration) or an equivalent technical program.
  • Hold a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
  • Experience & Other Requirements

  • Bilingual, French and English (oral and written).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, and the Google environment.
  • Good knowledge of GPI considered an asset.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience in a similar role considered an asset.
  • The evaluation process for this position will include administrative tests.
