Job description
We are currently searching for both Registered Practical Nurses & Registered Nurses to serve our customer by providing healthcare services on an as-needed basis. You will be entered into our Pick-Up Shift resource pool and will be contacted as openings become available.
Job Duties :
Ensure resident care is provided with established nursing standards and principles, physicians’ orders and administrative policies, as well as, observe, report and record vital signs, symptoms and conditions of residents. Assure observance of required techniques in nursing care.
Supervise a team of Personal Support Workers (PSW) working inside the facility.
Ensure proper health & safety rules and regulations are being followed to maintain a safe environment.
Check the temperatures of residents living at the nursing home or for any symptoms related to Covid-19.
Monitor status of residents and refers problems to the Director of Care.
Create reports and maintain proper records for all the residents regarding their daily checkups, and medications.
Keep a track of medicines, and other supplies and generate orders whenever needed.
Follow medication administration and storage procedure and regulations.
Educate everyone on safe work habits.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to collect and use information to thoroughly think through problems and situations; puts information from various sources together to see the ‘big picture’, and generate creative solutions.
Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices, as well as Knowledge in Infection Control Practices.
Organizational, planning, time management and multi-tasking skills.
Must have :
Appropriate current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) required.
Registration or eligible for registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.
Job Type : Casual, part-time, pick-up shifts
Pay :
50 to $55 / hr for RNs
40 to $45 / hr for RPNs

License / Certification :
CNO RN registration (required)
VSS (Vulnerable Sector Screening) within 6 months (preferred)
Immunization Record / MMRV Vaccination Record
2 Steps TB (Tuberculosis) Test within 6 months (preferred)
