Key Responsibilities
Architect, design, and implement platform‑level mechanical systems from aircraft to component level
Design structural and mechanical components for critical systems, including fuselage, propulsion mounts, landing gear, and system housings
Select and specify materials (e.g., advanced composites, aluminum alloys, titanium, high‑performance polymers) based on strength, weight, thermal, and durability requirements
Support product development from concept through detailed design, prototyping, testing, and release to production
Optimize structures for strength, stiffness, fatigue, and thermal performance
Interface with suppliers to validate material choices, manufacturing methods, and fabrication constraints
Participate in failure investigations and root cause analyses to resolve mechanical or material issues
Be an integral part of the team, projecting positive behaviours and influence onto the team
Apply aerospace standards and specifications appropriate to the discipline
Challenge the status quo, introducing new ideas to improve engineering quality, productivity, and delivery timelines
