Description
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Person B to join our team of skilled professionals based at our brand-new Brampton Plant. This state-of-the-art manufacturing plant produces premium asphalt roofing shingles in a high speed, continuous manufacturing process environment.
Position Overview :
Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the successful candidate will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely operate a sit down counter balance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification
- Must be comfortable working outside in the elements
- Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading / unloading materials
- Identify where product is located in the yard and in the warehouse by utilizing the Lot Location system.
- Load / unload trucks
- Pick and sort stock using a forklift ensuring minimal errors
- Assist with inventory counts as required
- Guide truck drivers where they need to go in order to safely loaded / unloaded
Qualifications :
This is a full time non-unionized position.
