Our ever- expanding footprint provides a great prospect for career advancement as we seek to develop our emerging leaders.POSITION SUMMARYTransaction Management : Manage the buying and selling transactions of softwood lumber and panels.Research and analyze lumber trading regulations, trends, and opportunities to inform decision-making.Inspect softwood lumber and panels to determine grade quality.Inventory Oversight : Oversee wood and panel inventories across Stella-Jones plants and distribution centers, ensuring stock levels meet operational and customer needs.Monitor and report on inventory trends to optimize turnover and minimize waste.Handle all accessoriesRelationship Building : Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Canadian buying groups such as Rona, BMR, and Home Hardware.Actively build and sustain relationships with existing and prospective customers to drive sales growth.Market Expertise : Stay informed about market regulations, pricing trends, and emerging opportunities to maintain Stella-Jones’ competitive edge.Represent Stella-Jones at industry events to expand professional networks and promote the company.Additional Responsibilities : Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the lumber trading operations.QUALIFICATIONS1-2 years of experience in buying / selling softwood lumber.
