Job descriptionOntario College of Teachers (OCT) certification – required Special Education qualifications (Special Education Part 1 or higher) and / or equivalent classroom experience with students who have exceptionalities Knowledge of IEP development, differentiated instruction, and behavior support strategies Strong communication and collaboration skills A commitment to student well-being, equity, and academic growth Training or experience with structured literacy, assistive technology, or ABA Experience working in an independent or alternative school setting High school teaching qualifications and / or experience We're supportive and collaborative staff community We have a low student-to-teacher ratio We do meaningful work with a lasting impact We provide professional development opportunities

About The Dunblaine School :
Dunblaine is a small, specialized school that supports students with a range of learning disabilities. We offer individualized programming, small class sizes, and a nurturing environment where every child is known, supported, and encouraged to reach their potential.
What You’ll Do :
- Develop and deliver individualized programming aligned with Ontario Curriculum expectations
- Create and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Modify and adapt instructional strategies to support learning goals
- Use ongoing assessment to inform instruction and track student progress
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including educational assistants, therapists, and families
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
