Reporting to the Director, Pension Administration, the successful candidate will drive the direction of our member education programs, provide leadership to the team, and ensure the delivery of high-quality financial advisory services.Your primary responsibilities will be centered around four key areas : Member CommunicationDevelop and implement communication strategies in collaboration with Stakeholder Relations, focusing on simplifying the pension experience for members.Oversee the creation of communication products such as benefit statements, newsletters, annual reports, and educational materials.Member EducationStay updated on member needs and expectations, working with Stakeholder Relations to deliver effective educational strategies.Ensure plan beneficiaries are informed about their rights and responsibilities.Financial Advisory ServicesDevelop and execute a strategy for delivering financial advisory services to Provident10 plan members.Support the implementation of systems and tools to improve financial literacy across the membership.People ManagementLead and coach a collaborative team, ensuring alignment with Provident10's values and culture. Manage staff performance, identify knowledge gaps, and provide mentorship.Foster employee engagement and satisfaction through regular meetings and support.What you'll bring to the role : A University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, administration, finance or related field.A Certified Financial Planner designation or similar education supporting financial planning skills.Minimum of 10 years experience with pension administration and financial planning related services, supplemented by 3 years experience in a leadership role.Familiar with provincial and federal legislation as it relates to pension administration.Extensive knowledge of the retirement financial system in Canada with the ability to communicate the components of that system to othersYou are a self-starter, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a high degree of accountability.Salary Range : $94,700 - $132,700Application Deadline : January 8th, 2025While only those individuals selected for an interview will be contacted, we extend our appreciation to all applicants for your interest.
