The Infrastructure team’s mission is to deliver customer impact by partnering with engineers to build reliable and fast financial products. We own the platforms, tools, and services that power every customer transaction and facilitate every production change. We enable faster development for engineers, higher reliability to our customers, and lower costs to the business. We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineering leader for our growing Cloud Cost Management team.

What You’ll Do

• Develop frameworks, systems, and tools to create a culture of ownership and accountability for infrastructure costs.
• Collaborate with Finance and Engineering leadership to define and meet ambitious financial targets, ensuring Affirms scalable and efficient growth.
• Lead technical decisions, projects, and roadmaps within the Infrastructure team, shaping Affirms strategy for managing our multi‑million dollar annual spend.
• Drive business and engineering metrics while promoting a culture of reliability, security, and productivity.
• Lead a team of engineers with empathy while fostering a high‑performance, ownership‑driven & inclusive culture.
• Collaborate with tech leads, program managers, and product managers on tools, architecture, planning, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects.
• Work across the engineering organization and with internal and external partners.
• Provide leadership and growth opportunities to team members, mentor engineers, recruit, and represent Affirms hiring brands.
• Guide, tutor, and aid in the professional growth of junior and senior engineers within the team.

What We Look For

Base Pay Grade – R

Equity Grade – 9

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirms Holdings, Inc. (parent company). CAN base pay range per year : $206,000 – $256,000

Location – Remote – CAN

Affirm is proud to be a remote‑first company! The majority of our roles are remote and you can work almost anywhere within the country of employment. Affirms in proximal roles have the flexibility to work remotely, but will occasionally be required to work out of their assigned Affirms office. A limited number of roles remain office‑based due to the nature of their job responsibilities.
