Job description
Our client is a rapidly expanding leader in industrial redevelopment, specializing in the transformation of end-of-life industrial sites into vibrant, multi-tenant hubs. Operating as a specialized owner’s representative, they manage complex environmental remediation, landfill closures, and building repurposing across Canada and the U.S.. They are currently seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join their environmental team to oversee remedial action plans. This is a brand-new position designed for a self-starter who thrives in an agile, high-growth environment where deliverables and timelines are the primary focus. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the environmental integrity of a diverse portfolio of industrial assets.

Responsibilities
- Remediation Management: Evaluate remediation requirements, permitting pathways, and project feasibility for industrial sites.
- Contractor Oversight: Coordinate and retain consultants and contractors to execute physical environmental construction and remedial action plans.
- Budgeting: Develop and monitor budgets for environmental work while reviewing all contractor and consultant submissions.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the environmental lead between development, engineering, legal, and construction teams.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed documentation and status summaries to inform project leadership on remediation progress.

Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Occupational Health & Safety,
- 3–5 years of experience in environmental construction and project management is preferred.
- Deep understanding of Federal and Provincial Environmental Laws, specifically Ontario legislation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record and a valid passport for occasional international travel.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software like Asana is an asset.
