Where : Eenchokay Birchstick School Pikangikum Education Authority Position Available : Secondary English & Social Studies Teacher What : The Pikangikum Education Authority is seeking a motivated individual to work as a Full Time Secondary English & Social Studies Teacher at Eenchokay Birchstick School for the 2024-2025 School Year. Teacher’s Responsibilities : Be responsible for the effective instruction and evaluation of student achievement. Be responsible for the effective management of all students. Demonstrate an ability to differentiate academic instruction. An ability to create an interesting and engaging classroom environment for all students. A strong desire to meet and work with young people inside and outside of school. Qualifications & Skills : To be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or be eligible for membership. Speaking of the Ojibway language an asset but not essential. Excellent technology skills. Knowledge of Indigenous Culture an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work positively with other staff members.
