We have a rewarding career opportunity for a Social Worker to join our talented team at Ravensview, part of Homewood Health, the national leader in mental health and addictions treatment in Canada. Located in North Saanich on 28 acres of forested hillside, Homewood Ravensview offers clients a comfortable and safe environment with ocean views and a world-class team of physicians, psychiatrists, counsellors and 24-hour nursing professionals.

Hours : Temporary full time for up to 8 months

Homewood Ravensview is a private 75-bed mental health, trauma and addiction facility offering evidence-based, medically-led inpatient services for first responders, military, veterans, executives & professionals, adults, and young adults.

Position overview : As a Social Worker, you will be an integral part of a collaborative, culturally-competent interdisciplinary team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to clients and customers. You will assess, plan, coordinate and provide treatment rehabilitation strategies and support services under supervision of the Clinical Program Manager and Psychiatrist. You will function as a clinical member of multidisciplinary teams delivering appropriate treatment approaches within inpatient and outpatient programs, accessing community services while integrating psychosocial principles and advocating for clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide client-centered treatment and recovery-oriented support
  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments using in vivo, multidisciplinary instruments, client self-assessments, family assessments, and external reports
  • Develop individualized client treatment / recovery plans with clients and stakeholders
  • Take responsibility for the treatment and recovery process of assigned clients within the context of the primary worker and the team
  • Assist with symptom management including delivery of medication, 24-hour crisis support and developing therapeutic rapport
  • Foster an optimally supportive environment
  • Advocate for clients and promote self-advocacy and client self-determination as appropriate
  • What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work
  • Registration with the College of Social Workers
  • Training in and experience with CBT, CPT and DBT (hands-on preferred)
  • Ability to work with a range of complex / comorbid mental health conditions and provide evidence-based approaches
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective computer skills
  • Strong report writing skills with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated skills in assessment, treatment and research preferred

    Note : Pay ranges and compensation principles reflect applicable factors and are tailored to specific roles and environments. Pay range for this position is $31.69 - $47.30.
