Primary Care Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician Position

About The Position

We’re looking for a skilled and team-oriented Primary Care Sport and Exercise Medicine physician with their CASEM Dip Sport Med or equivalent to join the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Family in London, ON.

As a member of the Primary Care group, you’ll see a wide variety of patients and problems, ranging from elite athletes to weekend warriors and from children to seniors. There is access to US machines and Centrifuge allowing for a number of different injections – guided and not, and of different products including PRP.

You will work in an interdisciplinary academic setting along with physiotherapists, orthopedic surgeons and researchers servicing a large portion of Southwest Ontario.

You will have the opportunity to provide coverage to our Varsity Sport program and to work with the London’s Knights hockey team (OHL) and the London Lightning team (semi-professional basketball team). Many of our physicians also work with different NSOs (Hockey Canada, Soccer Canada, Skate Canada…) which can lead to new connections and opportunities for our new colleagues.

You will become a member of one of the largest Sport and Exercise Medicine PGY3 programs in the country and have the opportunity to join Western’s Department of Family Medicine Academic department.

Locations

• Western University 3M Centre clinic : Where we provide primary sport and exercise medicine services to students, varsity athletes and community patients.
• Fanshawe College : Where we offer a mix of sport and exercise medicine as well as student health services to Canadian and International students and faculty.
• New South Clinic : Where we again provide primary sport and exercise medicine services to Londoners as well as surrounding communities.
