Overview : We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as School Bus Drivers for the Brampton and Mississauga areas. This position involves transporting students to and from school safely and punctually, ensuring a safe and pleasant experience for all passengers. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities :
Safely transport students to and from school on a predetermined route.
Maintain adherence to traffic laws and regulations while operating the bus.
Follow the assigned schedule and ensure punctual arrivals and departures.
Monitor the behavior and safety of students on the bus.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents, school staff, and other road users.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is safe and operational.
Maintain cleanliness and order on the bus, including ensuring all safety equipment is functional.
Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly.
Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings as required.
Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Requirements :
Valid Ontario school bus license (B or E class).
Clean driver's abstract with no traffic violations.
Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including vulnerable sector screening.
Excellent driving record with proven experience in driving larger vehicles.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage and discipline students while maintaining a positive and safe environment.
Punctuality and reliability are essential.
Must be able to work a split shift schedule (morning and afternoon routes).
Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the bus.
Ability to lift and carry items as needed.
