Position : Senior IT Infrastructure Operations Project Manager

Employment Type : Permanent

Compensation Details

  • Project Manager 18 : Salaries typically range from $94,664 to $126,219 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.

Location

  • Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week. (subject to change)
  • This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Laval, Brossard, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, or Halifax.

  • Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model and technology operations required to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation.

  • Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences.
  • The Technology Operations Services - Business & Portfolio Management team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT Infrastructure Operations Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing technology projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The role will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

    The core elements of the job are about organizing people and time resources and seeing the project through from inception to completion. Project managers have ultimate responsibility for meeting the businesses or client’s needs.

    What you will be doing

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop schedules and methods for measuring results.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
  • Guide and perform strategic analysis for the project.

  • Organize and manage all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Assembling and coordinating project team members; assigning individual responsibilities.
  • Preparing requests for proposals and conducting all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products.
  • Planning and overseeing the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
  • What we are looking for

  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in project management, with a focus on technology projects.
  • Strong proficiency in :
  • Resource planning, Scheduling, requirements gathering, Process improvements.

  • Agile / Scrum.
  • Confident decision making.
  • Design and development.
  • Project management methodologies and tools.
  • Project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, ADO, ServiceNow platform).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, critical and strategic thinking, time management, priority planning and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholder management.
  • High level of initiative and ownership.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with a problem-solving attitude.

  • Experience with End-User Computing, Provisioning and their management platforms.
  • Familiarity with Windows / Mac Operating Systems, iOS / iPadOS, Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Window 365 Cloud PC.
  • Knowledge of Telephony & Fax, VoIP, Teams Calling, Fax Gateway, Meeting Room & Collaboration technologies, Digital Employee Experience and ITSM / ServiceNow Processes.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365, including Tenant Management, M365 Apps for Business, MS Exchange and Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, One Drive for Business, Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft Copilot for M365.
  • Bilingual in both official languages (English and French).
